‘Lone Star’ star and former WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes dies at 91

Cody Rhodes died on Thursday, the longtime WWE wrestler and his son announced on Twitter.

Cody died peacefully at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was 91.

Rhodes’ son, Mark, tweeted that his father was “one of the best in the business.”

Rhodesian died at the age of 91, according to the family’s Facebook page.

He was born in the Bronx in 1929 and spent much of his life in Los Angeles, becoming a pro wrestler and working in the WWE for many years.

He left WWE in 1995 and started a new career in the music business in 2006.

In 2014, he formed a group called The New Day and released their debut album, “Catch The Feeling.”
