NEWCASTLE, N.Y. — Four people are facing charges in New York after a 15-year-old girl alleged she was sexually abused by a group of friends in an online video.
The girl told detectives that she had a “horrible experience” with four other teens who she believed were part of a pedophile ring.
She said one of the teens had touched her genitals while she was in the restroom.
The girl was arrested at her home in New Castle on Wednesday and charged with three counts of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree child abuse.
She was being held on $2 million bond.
The video is believed to have been filmed in 2013 in the summer of 2013 in New Zealand.
New Zealand police said the video showed a group allegedly participating in a sexual activity with the victim.
The group members were later identified as 18-year old boys and 20-year olds.
The other four men in the video were identified as a 21-year and 22-year long-time member of the group, as well as two people from New Zealand and the United States.
Police have released the video in an effort to help identify victims of online abuse.
