A transgender woman has been awarded a Bronze Star after she overcame her disability and successfully completed a military service.
The video shows Caitlyn Baugh standing on a flight from Hawaii to Alaska, but with a cane, using her hand to help herself walk.
She told the Associated Press she has had a difficult time adjusting to life as a transgender woman, but that her military service was one of the most important things she has ever done.
She said the Bronze Star was a big deal.
The Pentagon on Monday confirmed the award to Baugh, but said she was awarded in recognition of her service.
